Every P5 student faces the same moment: the end-of-year exam that tests everything since January, all at once, under real time pressure. It's usually the first time all year they're up against the full syllabus, not just what was taught last. At our Bishan session, we turned that pressure into a game. The Math Case Files reframed the full-syllabus challenge as a set of cases to crack, one clue at a time. Students walked in facing exactly the kind of problem that normally causes dread, and walked out having solved it themselves, piece by piece. The energy in the room said it all. Kids who usually freeze at "the whole syllabus at once" were leaning in, comparing notes with each other, racing to crack the next clue. What's normally the most anxiety-inducing exam of the year became something they were genuinely excited to take on. That's the whole idea behind Math Case Files: exam pressure doesn't have to mean dread. Give a child the right framework, and the hardest paper of the year turns into a puzzle they actually want to solve.
